What is the best method you’ve found for storing the huge amounts of data you accumulate?
I’ve got a JVC HDD camcorder and multiple computers. I thought about a WHS, but I’ve also thought about converting the video to other formats (and codecs) although this takes time.
How would you provide storage for 5 TB of new data each year in your home?
Are there other solutions you think might be appropriate?
5 Terabytes of video is a shitload. Just delete stuff you will probably never watch or need again.
Also, try knocking the quality down on your camcorder for things you don’t actually need to be in high definition. 1GB of high definition footage converts to about 200 megs of tv quality tape.
