Lentil Markets Stabilize

VANCOUVER - Mar 6/10 - SNS -- Lentil market value stabilized during the past week as grower selling fell behind the short term needs of processors and exporters.

Demand from some key consumer markets remains relatively light, but there is a growing realization the next harvest is still five to six months away and it may be dangerous to wait too long to buy.

Origin shippers are also hopeful Ramadan will offer demand support during the period when North American crops are being seeded.
