Lentils Weaken in Light Trade

VANCOUVER - Feb 7/10 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the week's trading on a soft note, with prices falling in both Canada and India.

The change in market tempo surprised Canadian growers, who were caught offguard by the decision by most processors to withdraw spot bids by week's end.

Lentil growers attending the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers workshops during the past week were unsure how to interpret the change in buying attitude.
