JVC TH-C4 home theater – can’t see disk!?
2 months ago my DVD jammed (my fault) I went to service to repair this. I had a lot of problems with this place (service center). They said that the mechanical timing is broken. They fixed it. When I brought this home my audio (sound, sub woofer wont turned on) was broken. They fixed this again (they broke that!) now is 1,5 month later and while I was watching movie the screen of my TV went black and got the message that there is no disk. I tried all 5 of them with different DVD’s and CD’s and nothing – can’t see the disk. It tells me – no disk!
I went back to the service place saying that something broke down but they said that this MUST to me something new and there will be charge!
I have this system for over 2 years now and never had any problems! I called JVC customer service long time ago with the complain on this place…nothing

You should try cleaning the laser lens with canned air. It sounds, however, like it may be time to let that JVC give up the ghost and buy a different brand. If you are looking to stay with an inexpensive htib I would recommend Onkyo, Yamaha, Sony, and Kenwood.
